Fear is a goddamn force, and a profound teacher. A potent and accurate acronym for fear is this: Felt Experience Appearing Real. The thing is, fear isn’t telling the truth of what is real, but the imagined reality of what we are afraid is true. Fear cannot be stopped by mere thoughts. Instead, we use the power of alchemy. The body experiences fear and excitement as the same physiological response. So we aren’t aiming to be people who don’t feel fear (it has such valuable information, after all). We are learning to relate to fear in a new way; honoring the expressing, but not falling for the story.
Let’s come together as a tribe in a safe, vulnerable container and feel, process, share, befriend, and honor our beautiful, wise, yet painful elements of fear. Shamanic coach and death doula Kat Courtney will lead a community of open-hearted people across the globe in a virtual Alchemy of Fear Workshop. We will work with the element of Air to support the expansion and empowerment we need to be honest about our fears. We will compassionately bear witness to the courageous admissions from our fellow light warriors, reflecting back acceptance and understanding. And we will each stand in the light of truth to name, befriend, and integrate the incredible energy of our biggest fears.
The Ritual will include opportunities to speak, emote, write, and meditate on the intelligence and power of our personal and collective shadow. Kat will create a ritualistic container using ancient shamanic practices honoring these untamed emotions, creating safety for all who gather to vulnerably move through some of the stuck energies in our bodies and beings.

About Kat Courtney
Kat has had the supreme honor of studying and practicing shamanism for over 18 years, with multiple maestros and lineages. She began her studies in the Peruvian Amazon in 2006, under the protection of the late, great Don Howard Lawler; one of the most powerful and esteemed Huachumeros who has ever graced this Earth. Kat attended dozens and dozens of Ayahuasca and Huachuma ceremonies with Howard and Don Rober Acho at SpiritQuest, and then went on to apprentice for 10 years with several incredible Ayahuasquero masters. She also graduated from the Gaia Institute’s Master Herbalism Apprenticeship in 2009. Kat has poured medicine for thousands of sincere seekers, and coached hundreds of people in the aftermath of powerful plant ceremonial work. She’s a humble servant of all plant medicines, having completed 24+ Master Plant Diets to date. She is a champion of the darkness and has profound love and trust in the alchemy of emotions like grief and anger.
