More and more people are encountering Kundalini awakenings through meditation, yoga, breathwork, psychedelics, and spontaneous spiritual experiences, often without the guidance or context needed to understand what is happening. These experiences can be profoundly transformative, but they can also feel confusing, destabilizing, and overwhelming when we lack a map of the territory.
Kundalini is a force that transforms our bodies, minds, emotions, and spiritual lives. Working with Kundalini often brings us face to face with unresolved trauma, deeply held conditioning, and the patterns that shape our experience of reality. Plant medicines frequently bring us into contact with these same layers, which is why the relationship between psychedelics and Kundalini has become such an important conversation.
Join Justin Levy for an immersive 8-week exploration of Kundalini, psychedelics, trauma, healing, and spiritual transformation through the lens of Kashmir Shaivism, Tantra, and other wisdom traditions. Together, we will explore practical frameworks for understanding awakening experiences, navigating energetic intensity, integrating profound insights, and cultivating a relationship with Spirit that is grounded, authentic, and sustainable.
This course is designed for both the curious and the experienced. Whether you are just beginning to explore these realms or have already experienced Kundalini awakenings, psychedelic journeys, or spiritual openings, you will receive a nuanced framework that honors both the psychological and spiritual dimensions of transformation.
Over eight weeks, we will explore karma, samskaras, spiritual growth, shadow work, integration, and the delicate balance between expansion and stability. Justin will guide participants through a compassionate and honest investigation of what it means to walk a spiritual path with discipline, humility, courage, and devotion.
If something in you is stirring and you feel called to better understand the powerful forces shaping your inner world, we invite you to join us. This course offers a supportive container for learning, reflection, and community as we navigate the mysteries of Kundalini and psychedelics together.

What You Will Learn
Week 1 — Orientation: What Are We Really Opening Up?
Explore the foundations of Kundalini through the lens of Kashmir Shaivism and traditional spiritual teachings. We will examine common misconceptions, karma, samskaras, gurus, and the ways spiritual language is often distorted in modern culture. Practices include altar creation, breathwork, and bandhas.
Week 2 — Contrasting Frameworks
Learn how different traditions understand spiritual awakening, including yogic, psychological, trauma informed, and African diaspora perspectives. We will explore the benefits and risks of syncretism and discuss how our frameworks shape our experiences. Practices include altar work, breathwork, and bandhas.
Week 3 — The Spiral: Karma, Samskara, Granthi
Discover how patterns become embedded in the body and psyche. We will explore karma as imprint, samskara as momentum, and the energetic knots known as granthis that influence our lives. Practices include altar work, breathwork, and bandhas.
Week 4 — The Spiral Map: Wound → Wall → Spirit
Examine the relationship between core wounds, protective identities, and spiritual growth. We will explore how transformation unfolds through cycles of contraction and expansion while working with concepts such as the Trickster and Shiva. Practices include altar work, breathwork, and bandhas.
Week 5 — Psychedelics and Kundalini
Explore the powerful relationship between psychedelics and Kundalini awakening. We will discuss the rewards and risks of combining these paths, including spiritual gifts, inflation, dissociation, false certainty, and accelerated transformation. Practices include altar work, breathwork, and bandhas.
Week 6 — Why Good and Evil Frameworks Fail
Investigate the limitations of simplistic moral frameworks when working with spiritual awakening. Topics include shadow, projection, spiritual bypassing, accountability, and the challenges of navigating non dual perspectives. Practices include altar work, breathwork, and bandhas.
Week 7 — Kundalini as Disruption
Explore why awakening often feels destabilizing before it becomes liberating. We will discuss anxiety, fragmentation, identity shifts, the dark night of the soul, and why true transformation rarely follows a bliss only path. Practices include altar work, breathwork, and bandhas.
Week 8 — Integration: Self, Others, World
Learn how to integrate spiritual experiences in ways that deepen connection rather than isolation. We will explore purpose, meaning, devotion, gratitude, and how awakening can become a force for embodied service and authentic living.

About Justin Levy
I’ve spent years immersed in the study and lived experience of these traditions, including deep work in Kashmir Shaivism through Siddha Yoga and the teachings of Swami Muktananda. I studied ayahuasca for eight years with a shamanic mentor who does not want to be named publicly (but I can discuss in private). Additionally, I spent seven years studying capoeira with Mestre Almiro, developing a relationship with the spiritual elements of Candomblé and getting direct experience on how movement, rhythm, and spirit intertwine. These systems grounded my understanding of altered states, discipline, and responsibility.
For the past 18 years, I’ve been helping individual clients with my own form of Kundalini-based bodywork. Over the last 15 years, I’ve taught classes at my center (Spirit House) that bring all of these threads together. This course is a distillation of that work, shaped by teachers and by my ongoing experience and community engagement.
